Marion is the Principal of Benjamin & Dawson Lawyers and Wollongong Conveyancing Services, heading the practice since early 2021. Marion brings a wealth of life experiences to her law practice, having worked as a documentary filmmaker, professional researcher, academic and manager of a regional community environmental organisation. Moving from the Riverina to the Illawarra in 2018 was a much desired return to live on the coast. Practicing law by the sea is the best of all worlds.
Marion is an experienced Family Lawyer dealing with all aspects of family disputes in including property, parenting, same sex and defacto couples, divorce, domestic violence and is a passionate advocate for clients and social justice. Benjamin & Dawson Lawyers is committed to acting for legally aided and private clients alike. Marion also practices in Wills & Estates, in civil matters and is a regular volunteer at the Illawarra Legal Centre.
Originally from Victoria, Marion is a staunch AFL devotee and proud mother of a teenager selected for the Illawarra Regional Representative team. Footy by day and music by night, Marion is a jazz fiend and currently the Vice President of the Sydney Improvised Music Association.
Alison is a Paralegal with over 30 years’ experience. She was born in the Illawarra and has a wealth of knowledge in Conveyancing, Estate matters & Wills. Alison has worked for a number of large Sydney firms and first worked with Stephen Dawson in the ’90s.
Alison has been a member of Benjamin & Dawson Lawyers since 2017 working in Wills and Estates and is a Justice of the Peace registered in New South Wales.
Alison is an active member of Albion Park Show Society and current Secretary. And to top that, Alison has for the past ten years been a Woodchop Judge for the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.
Alison is proudly the mother of a daughter announced winner of the 2021 NSW Young Farmers Challenge Competition.
And in all her spare time, Alison is a needleworker extraordinaire and Needlework Show Judge.
